On February 18, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov participated in the grand opening of a new complex of buildings of the “Asuda” frontier post of the Ashgabat frontier formation, the State Border Service of Turkmenistan. The head of state began his familiarization with the new complex of buildings of the frontier post with a communication room tooled with the latest technologies and most advanced specialized equipment. A special screen demonstrates operation of the communication facilities that afford the round-the-clock monitoring of the State Frontier in the territory, which is under control of the “Asuda” frontier post. The equipment enables to provide video surveillance at the border and electronic warning. At the disposal of frontier guards are the latest communication and control facilities, which make it possible to immediately react to any extraordinary situation in the protected section of the State Frontier. Interested in the advantages of the equipment, the head of state wanted to know how well the border guards were able to operate the modern facilities. Having highlighted the particular importance of strengthening the material and technical base of all units of the border service and improving professional training of the personnel, the leader of nation has stressed that the Turkmen state has been giving priority attention to these issues since our country became independent and will continue doing it. The barracks were the next point of the presidential visit. The head of state personally acquainted with daily routine of the frontier guards and the conditions provided. While examining the living quarters, the nation’s leader drew attention of the event participants to the importance of ensuring favorable living conditions and recreation of young servicemen, organizing interesting leisure-time activities. The President of Turkmenistan assigned the relevant executives to keep control over the issues related to social security of border guards, their regular supply with everything necessary, including personal hygiene products. Then, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov proceeded to other premises, having visited a dining hall, a kitchen and a bakery. The leader of nation showed a keen interest in the working conditions created for the cooks, the kitchen appliances, as well as a variety of dishes, their nutritional and caloric value. In a lively conversation with young servicemen at the shared lunch table, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country was interested to know about the conditions of their service and life, their future plans. It should be noted that by the order of the President of Turkmenistan special premises have been constructed in the territory of the frontier post. They have everything necessary for keeping and training riding horses and guard dogs, and undoubtedly, this enhances efficiency of the use of these devoted companions and helpers of the frontier guards who defend our Motherland’s borders. The head of Turkmen state proceeded to a residential building erected in the territory of the frontier post where he familiarized himself with the living conditions of servicemen and their family members. A happy family, who had moved into a new apartment, welcomed the President of Turkmenistan with great joy. All the apartments are furnished with high-quality furniture and provided with modern household appliances. There is a well-arranged playground for children near the apartment building. After a talk with members of the family, the leader of nation congratulated them on their new home and wished them a happy life. Having stressed that all necessary conditions would be further provided for the comfort of border guards and their families, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave presents to the new tenants. The President of Turkmenistan made a commemorative note on the occasion of commissioning of the new complex of buildings. Then the Supreme Commander-in-Chief presented the Commander of the frontier post with a key to a special-purpose vehicle.
