On April 14, on return from Seoul upon completion of his state visit to the Republic of Korea, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov conducted a working meeting in the VIP hall of the capital’s international airport with participation of Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Cabinet Deputies Chairman, as well as heads of military and law-enforcement bodies. The outcomes of talks held in the Republic of Korea, top-priority tasks of the country’s socio-economic development, as well as other issues of state life were in the focus of discussion. The meeting participants reported on the state of affairs in the sectors they are in charge of, the results of work ongoing in all spheres of the national economy on implementing the state socio-economic programs, tackling the tasks aimed to further raise living standards of the population in the capital and regions of the country, as well as to accelerate the pace of construction of different-purpose facilities. In particular, the head of state was informed about the law-making activity of Mejlis on the national legislation further improvement, as well as about systematic introduction of advanced world experience and modern technologies into all sectors of the national economy. The leader of nation was presented reports on the implementation progress of the reforms ongoing in military and law-enforcement bodies, and the fulfillment of instructions given earlier on strengthening their material-technical base. Focusing on the outcomes of talks held in the friendly country, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted the significance of agreements reached during his state visit to the Republic of Korea in the light of successful realization of the socio-economic reforms carried out in our country, as well as further development of international cooperation. In this context, the head of state assigned the working meeting attendees to prepare and submit their reports on the relevant institutions at the upcoming meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, and accurately outline the tasks associated with the agreements reached during the state visit by Turkmenistan’s government delegation to the Republic of Korea and plans for their fulfillment. Proceeding from the International Airport, the head of state examined the ongoing work on the Turkmen capital’s improvement. Having made a stopover at the buildings of the “Argach” Wool-Spinning Enterprise and the “Gyon” Leather Processing Enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, located at the intersection of A. Niyazov Avenue and H. Yasavi Street, the leader of nation pointed out the obsolescence of the facilities, their non-compliance with modern requirements, and as a consequence, the advisability of construction of a new modern production complex. In this connection, the head of state commissioned the relevant executives to determine its location and prepare the issue-related proposals. Having placed accent on the improvement of the city’s neighborhood, given the ongoing construction of a new international airport as well as an increased number of guests of the Turkmen capital, the leader of nation also stressed the rationality of building a modern hotel at the site of the obsolete enterprises, having assigned the responsible officials to hold an international tender for its construction and selection of a contractor. Noting the necessity of creating all modern conditions for the new hotel operation, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov commissioned the executives concerned to consider the issues of its management by private entrepreneurs. As the leader of nation stressed, making full use of the private sector’s potential in the development of hotel business and tourist services will be a new effective step towards the sector’s growth. Having wished success to the meeting participants in tackling the tasks assigned to them, the President of Turkmenistan left the venue.
