On June 8, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov conducted a working video-selector meeting with participation of some Cabinet Deputies Chairman, velayats’ and Ashgabat city’s khyakims and heads of some agencies. The priorities associated with the implementation of large-scale national programs, the situation in the agro-industrial complex of the country and other important issues of public life were considered during the meeting. The first speaker, Akhal velayat khyakim M. Nurmammedov submitted a report to the nation’s leader on the events dedicated to the Day of Science holiday and, in general, on the key trends of the region’s socio-economic development. He informed about the state and land treatment measures taken in the fields planted to cotton, about speeding up the grain-harvesting campaign paces and trouble-free functioning of the agri-machinery engaged in the campaign. Khyakim also reported on the implementation of contractual obligations for production of silkworm cocoons in the velayat. In addition, it was reported on the constructions progress of the objects erected in the velayat. Special accent was placed on ensuring children’s full-fledged summer holidays in the health centers of the region. Having listened to the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave executive instructions to the velayat khyakim on the efficient management and treatment of cotton fields in strict compliance with the agro-technical work schedule, on accelerating the wheat-harvesting campaign paces and efficient use of agri-machinery, on creating all necessary work-rest conditions for the participants of the harvesting campaign. The head of state also demanded to strengthen control over the water use in the planted areas and over construction works quality at the objects erected in the frames of the National Rural Development Program. Along with presenting the region’s action plan devoted to Science Day, the Balkan velayat khyakim B. Hojamammedov reported also on the measures undertaken to ensure orderly implementation of seasonal agricultural works in the cotton fields and effectiveness of the ongoing wheat harvesting campaign. Khyakim also reported that silkworm breeders of Balkan velayat fulfilled successfully their contractual obligations for the procurement of cocoons. The report gave also an extensive coverage of the measures taken in velayat to ensure well-organized children’s summer holidays in the recreation centers and the upcoming Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan. Speaking of the tasks of the Balkan velayat socio-economic development, the head of state has necessitated implementation of comprehensive measures aimed at unleashing of the region’s productive potential and raising the standard of living of the population. In this regard, the head of state gave to the khyakim certain executive commissions related to the construction of various facilities. Considering the upcoming Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan as a major socio-political event, the nation’s leader particularly focused the khyakim’s attention on keeping control over all the matters related to holding the Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan at a better and higher level in terms of its organization and content. Next speaker, Dashoguz velayat khyakim E. Orazgeldiev, reported on the general state of affairs in the agro-industrial complex, situation in the cotton fields of the region, the preparedness rate to the grain-harvesting campaign, and on the fulfillment of contractual obligations for silkworm cocoons production in the velayat. Khyakim also informed about the construction progress of the objects erected in the velayat, the preparedness rate to the festivities on the occasion of Science Day, and about the recreation-favored measures taken on efficient organizing the children’s summer holidays. In the comments to the report, the President of Turkmenistan has addressed the khyakim a number of executive instructions on upgrading the velayat’s agri-industries, on pursuing the rational farming-management policy and successful fulfillment of the tasks set to the agro-industrial complex branches aimed, mainly, at ensuring all the conditions required for the well-organized life of villagers. Stressing the utmost importance of the issues of land reclamation and uninterrupted water supply to the farmlands, the nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave firm guidelines to the khyakim on the comprehensive preparation for the upcoming grain-harvesting campaign. Other presidential executive instructions related to the construction progress of the objects erected in velayat, proper organization of the children’s summer recreation and the upcoming holiday events. In turn, Lebap velayat khyakim M. Joraev reported on the general state of affairs in the region, on the program of measures dedicated to Science Day. The attention was also focused on increasing and advancing the agri-industries (livestock inclusive), as well as on managing and treating the fields planted to cotton and other crops. The head of local governance reported also on the special plan developed to ensure high-quality and timely completion of the grain-harvesting campaign. Then, khyakim informed on the preparations for the Week of Culture to be held this year in Lebap velayat and other events devoted to the upcoming memorable dates. The issues of proper organizing the summertime work of sanatoriums and recreation centers, as well as the implementation progress by the Lebap silkworm breeders of their contractual obligations for cocoons production were also covered in the report. In his video-report, the Ashgabat city’s khyakim R. Nurmammedov reported on the general situation in the capital and the measures planned for the city’s improvement, landscaping and maintaining the appropriate logistic and sanitary order. Khyakim also informed about the construction progress of the objects erected in the capital, including the ones entering the road-transport, housing and other spheres infrastructure. Highlighting the significance of the very serious and responsible attitude to tackling the tasks for the Turkmen capital further development, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave to khyakim ofAshgabat a number of specific executive instructions. Next speaker, the Executive Board Chairman of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan M. Annadurdyev, reported on the activities of the Bank in general and on the fulfillment of the earlier presidential commissions on arranging timely payments to the agri-producers. Summarizing the report, the leader of nation singled out a number of priority issues on improving the national financial and economic system. To this end, the head of state gave to the Executive Board Chairman of the Central Bank the directives on increasing the efficiency and flexibility of bank mechanisms. What is above all needed, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized, is arranging of timely mutual settlements with the producers of grain and silkworm cocoons. In this regard, the head of state demanded to ensure adequate functioning of “Daikhanbank” State Commercial Bank’s branches in the regions. Then, the head of state invited the Cabinet Deputy Chairman B. Ereshov for direct video-communication. In the beginning of his report, B. Ereshov reported on the implementation of contractual obligations for silkworm cocoon production by the country’s silkworm breeders. In general, the state has got over 2,000 tons of high-quality silkworm cocoons. Congratulating the participants of the working video-meeting and, in their person, all the employees of the sericulture sector on the record-high achievement, the leader of nation wished them good health, family welfare, happy and peaceful life, and new achievements in work. Concluding the video-selector meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov expressed his confidence in the successful implementation of all the plans aimed at socio-economic development of the country and welfare of the nation.
