On July 13, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a regular working video-intercom meeting with participation of Deputies Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city as well as heads of a number of structures. In the course of video-meeting, consideration was given to the priority tasks of socio-economic development of the country, as well as to the issues referring to realization of the National reform-oriented programs, preparation measures for celebrating the upcoming significant dates, the drafts of some documents, and other important issues of state life. Speaking to the khyakims of all five velayats of the country over the intercom, the head of state heard their reports about the state of affairs in the regions, measures taken for organized start-up of the cotton harvesting campaign. Besides, khyakims reported on the implementation progress of the National Rural Development Program, as well as of the program elaborated for worthy celebration of nationwide holidays. Within the framework of reports, khyakims also informed of the state of affairs at the construction sites of the objects erected in velayats. Making emphasis on the priority areas of socio-economic development of regions, the President of Turkmenistan charged the local governors with keeping the course of works carried out in that sphere under constant control. The head of state has also necessitated taking most seriously the issues of preparing and organized conducting the important agricultural campaign –cotton harvesting. Not the least significant, the leader of nation Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov stressed, is to timely and high-quality complete construction of objects realized in velayats, as well as to ensure high-organizational level of the upcoming events dedicated to the countrywide celebrated holidays – Galla Bairamy (Harvest Day) and Workers of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Day. The video-report of Ashgabat city’s khyakim R. Nurmammedov was centered on the general state of affairs in the capital, measures taken to accelerate the paces of construction works, as well as fulfillment of the earlier presidential instructions. In particular, the head of capital’s administration reported on the course of works on ensuring cleanness and neatness of Ashgabat, fulfillment of the park zones improvement program, as well as measures taken to improve the capital’s social sphere. Speaking of importance of turning Ashgabat into a model town in all respects, the President of Turkmenistan expressed displeasure with the city’s khyakim activities in view of the shortcomings revealed in construction of the capital’s objects, in ensuring cleanness and improvements of the city. Noting that transformations and programs realized in the country’s main city should be directed to providing quality-of-life improvements to Ashgabat residents, the leader of nation Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov demanded from the khyakim to exercise strict control over all the activities carried out in the capital. Concentrating attention on ensuring high organizational level of the upcoming national-level holidays, the head of state gave a number of the relevant executive instructions on the governor of the capital. Then the leader of nation invited Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E.Orazgeldiev and khyakims of velayats to get on for a video contact. Reporting on the state of affairs in the fields of the country, the vice-premier accounted on the results of wheat harvesting campaign in regions. In the report follow-up comments, addressing the video-conferencing participants, the President of Turkmenistan has stressed that despite unfavorable weather conditions, our diligent selfless farmers worked hard and enthusiastically. Due to their efforts, the wheat harvesting campaign has been completed successfully in the country. The industrious Turkmen grain growers have produced over 1,400,000 tons of wheat – a record-high harvest under the unfavorable conditions of the dry year. The success, noted the leader of nation, attests to the fact that local cultivators had accumulated vast experience in producing heavy harvests of wheat under the complex-climate conditions. Results of the harvest time are the clearest evidence of achieving food security by our country. In run up to the Galla Bairamy holiday widely marked in our country, the President of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the participants of the video-meeting, and on their behalf all the countrymen, on this wonderful holiday. In this regard, addressing vice-premier E.Orazgeldiev, the head of state noted necessity of assessing appropriately the hard and inspired work of farmers, combine harvesters and truck drivers, all those who had taken part in this responsible campaign and won a record-high victory. The President commissioned also to consider the issue of awarding valuable gifts and prizes to the distinguished farmers. . To strengthen control over the work accomplished in velayats, the leader of nation appointed Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E.Orazgeldiev responsible for Dashoghuz velayat. Then, the head of state invited for a direct video-contact the State Security Council Secretary, Minister of national security (MNS)of Turkmenistan Ya.Berdiev and khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city. The State Security Council Secretary, Minister of national security of Turkmenistan reported on the work carried out by the relevant committees made up of representatives of military and law-enforcement bodies. He submitted to consideration of the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov the drafts of Ukases “On pardoning convicted persons on the occasion of the holy Gadyrgijesi (Night of Omnipotence)” and “On pardoning foreign persons convicted in the territory of Turkmenistan”. Following that noble tradition, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Ukases on pardoning of 1,061 convicted citizens of our country on the occasion of the holy Gadyrgijesi, well as 10 foreign nationals. In this connection, the leader of nation commissioned the State Security Council Secretary, head of MNS Ya.Berdiev, as well as heads of law-enforcement bodies, to take necessary measures so that all pardoned persons would be able to return homes and to their families from the places of confinement prior to the Oraza Bairamy. As the head of state stressed, such noble actions is an opportunity for the pardoned persons to expiate their fault by honest work and take active part in the work for further development and progress of the Fatherland. In this context, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov assigned khyakims of velayats and cities, as well as other authorities, to render employment assistance to the persons pardoned. Proceeding form century-old traditions and customs of Turkmen people left to us by our glorious ancestors, to preserve the nation’s valuable spiritual heritage, the head of nation signed a Ukase on celebrating Oraza Bairamy on July 18 of the current year and announcing the holiday nonworking day. Cordially congratulating the participants of video-conferencing and the entire people of the country on the upcoming Oraza Bairamy holiday, the President of Turkmenistan wished them sound health, prosperity and happy life. Concluding the video-conference, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov wished its participants great success in their work for the benefit of the beloved Motherland.
