On May 11, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov conducted a regular working video-selector meeting with participation of khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city. The first speaker, Akhal velayat khyakim M. Nurmammedov reported on the current state of affairs in the region, the measures taken to tender young cotton crops, as well as to accelerate the pace of works at sites of the objects under construction in the velayat. After the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov focused attention of the khyakim on compliance of the works ongoing in farmlands of the velayat with present-day requirements and agrotechnical standards. Having noted that there was little time left until the launch of the grain harvesting campaign, the head of state instructed to thoroughly prepare for the season. Having asked about the situation at sites of the buildings under construction in the velayat, the head of state noted the necessity of taking specific measures to increase the pace of construction works at the objects being erected in the framework of the National Rural Development Program, and assigned the khyakim to responsibly approach the issue. Next speaker, Balkan velayat khyakim B. Hojamammedov centered on the state of affairs in farmlands of the region, as well as the steps taken to ensure timely commissioning of the facilities. Reporting on the velayat’s readiness to efficiently conduct the grain harvesting campaign, the head of the region informed that all necessary measures had been taken to ensure uninterrupted operation of high-performance farming machinery, and that all storage facilities and granaries had been prepared. Focusing on the issue of seasonal agri-works, first of all, the grain harvesting, the head of state gave concrete commissions on conducting crop rotation in compliance with agrotechnical standards, and instructed to keep the preparation of agri-machinery, storage facilities and elevators under strict control. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has emphasized that comprehensive implementation of the National Rural Development Program, further improvement of the quality of life of the population, and strengthening of the velayat’s economy are top-priority objectives. Touching upon the work in the agricultural complex, the head of state commissioned to keep strict control over all the issues related to the efficient launch of the grain harvesting campaign. Having placed accent on the significance of the work carried out in the framework of successful implementation of the National Rural Development Program and the need for constant improvement of social security of the region’s population, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of taking a serious and comprehensive approach to the efforts made in this sphere.
