On August 6, while on a working visit to the Republic of Turkey, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedovg received Chairman of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Exchanges of Turkey Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklioğlu. The meeting was held in the luxury hotel “Ciragan Palace” - the state guest residence of the Turkmen leader. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of further development and diversification of trade-economic relations between the business structures of Turkmenistan and Turkey. The sides agreed that the advantageous opportunities were available for diversifying the bilateral trade turnover, for motivating investment activity, developing workable and effectual forms of partnership. In this aspect, an overriding role is assigned to direct contacts between business circles of the two countries, as well as to regular joint business forums and sectoral exhibitions. At the end of meeting, truly grateful to the head of state for finding time for reception, Mr. Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed confidence that the current working visit of President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey would give a new powerful impetus to the traditionally friendly Turkmen-Turkish cooperation based on the principles of equal long-term partnership and reciprocal interests.
