On March 18, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received Deputy Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China, Director of the National Energy Administration of the PRC Mr. Nuer Baikeli. Appreciative of the audience and opportunity to discuss in person some aspects of intergovernmental cooperation, the guest conveyed warm words of welcome from Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and Premier of the State Council of the PRC Li Keqiang to the leader of nation, as well as sincere wishes of happiness, peace and well-being to the entire Turkmen people. During the meeting, held in the trust-based atmosphere, the head of state and his guest exchanged views on a number of key trends of productive cooperation. As known, Turkmenistan and China have already realized a number of important projects, including construction and commissioning of the continent’s largest transnational gas pipeline in the frames of cooperation in the fuel and energy complex. In whole, the joint programs for development of the gas fields on the right bank of the Amudarya River, construction of a second gas-processing plant at the “Galkynysh” gas field are being successfully implemented. Applauding the high level of partnership in the sector with highest priority for both countries, the head of Turkmen state has confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to further advance the fruitful interaction, which meets the national interests and priorities of the two countries’ development.
