On March 16, on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdyeva accepted the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Turkmenistan Mr. Marek Tsalka. In the course of the conversation, the Ambassador was acquainted with the major trends of domestic and foreign policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan, whose most important aspect is the development of full-scale international cooperation with all countries of the world. During an exchange of opinions on the priorities of Turkmen-Turkish interaction, the parties spoke of interest in advancing cooperation in such prospective areas as the energy sector, textile industry, agriculture, the field of high technologies, tourism, as well as in expanding contacts in the sphere of science and education. A special emphasis was placed on the importance of establishing inter-parliamentary relations, as an important factor of cementing the bilateral relations.
