On January 20, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Allan Mustard, who presented his credentials to the head of state. In the course of meeting, an exchange of opinions took place on a wide spectrum of issues of fruitful long-term cooperation initially built on the principles of equality and mutual benefit. Having noted with satisfaction the existing mutual interest, which ensures steady dynamics for development of business partnership, the head of Turkmenistan and the Ambassador of the friendly country have stressed a significant role of the “Turkmenistan-USA” Business Council, and regular exhibitions and business meetings. They directly contribute to deepening of the trade and economic relations and all-round intensification of contacts between two countries’ governmental and business circles. The upcoming Turkmen-American business forum (to be held in Ashgabat) destined to develop new efficient approaches to realization of huge potential available for cooperation and thereby to advance the traditional trade-economic relations, serves as an eloquent example. As stressed, important joint projects realized in cooperation with world-known American companies in all key spheres, including the fuel and energy, transit and communications sectors, agriculture, health care, education and other areas, have become a clear evidence of American business communities’ ever-growing interest in strengthening their positions in the promising Turkmen market. Expressing great interest of his country’s business circles in participating in the new projects initiated by the Turkmen leader , the US Ambassador has assured that he will make every effort to further intensify the political and diplomatic, trade and economic relations and to comprehensively deepen the interstate relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, particularly, in science, culture, and education as well as sports, and tourism, whose development is an essential factor of dynamic development of any country.
