On August 12, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received a newly-designated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Mr. Mustafa Kapucu, who presented credentials to the head of Turkmen state. As was stressed during the meeting, today the two countries are tied not only by the commonality of economic and social objectives, but also by the coincidence and similarity of approaches towards the present-day key problems, the aspiration towards their practical tackling and integrating efforts to maintain peace, stability, regional and global security. The two countries’ common views on the key international issues are, to a large extent, conditioned by the high level of trust regarded as an indispensible condition of further broadening the cooperation established in the entire spectrum of areas. Noting availability of the vast untapped potential for developing productive cooperation, the diplomat has stressed that for unleashing this potential vast possibilities open up due to the constructive foreign policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, who gives special consideration to strengthening of the best traditions of neighborliness and fruitful dialogue with the region’s countries. Special accent was placed on the far-reaching prospects of the countries’ trade-economic relations in the light of the interest-based and mutually-complementary national economies of Turkmenistan and Turkey. In this connection, priority consideration was given to the implementation of new joint projects, many of which had been discussed at the recent business meeting of the head of Turkmenistan with the friendly country’s business-elite during his working visit to the Republic of Turkey. Welcoming upward dynamics of the interstate dialogue advancement, the head of state and the Ambassador of Turkey stressed the need to continue the practice of holding various-level bilateral meetings, as well as to encourage the activity of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission for Economic Cooperation which determines the priority trends of long-term partnership built on the principles of equity, trust and mutual benefit. As an important objective of the interstate relations development, the parties specified expansion of the traditional cultural-humanitarian relations, directly fostered by regular Culture Day actions, active participation of the two countries’ delegations in exhibitions, scientific and creative forums which, in turn, invest in cementing the two fraternal peoples’ centuries-old historical-cultural and spiritual commonality. At the end of meeting, once again extending gratitude to the nation’s leader for the fruitful opinions exchange on a broad range of issues, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Mustafa Kapucu has assured that he would do his best to further strengthen the Turkmen-Turkish relations and expand the constructive dialogue that in full meets the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples as well as fosters the entire region’s sustainable development.
