On August31, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a working meeting in the format of videoconferencing with participation of velayats’ and the Turkmen capital’s khyakims. The video-session was focused on the important aspects of socio-economic development of the country, the implementation progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns and the National Transformative Program launched in the regions, as well as other priority items of state life. Heads of regional administrations reported on the state of affairs in the velayats, particularly on the progress of the ongoing winter wheat seeding and cotton-harvesting campaigns. Major attention in the reports was concentrated on the implementation progress of the regions’ National Transformative Program which envisions construction of the various-purpose facilities commissioning of which is timed to the country’s Independence Day holiday and the new academic year. The khyakims also reported on the preparedness rate to the next session of the Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan to be held in Avaza etrap of Turkmenbashi city, as well as to the festivities timed to Independence Day. Speaking of the importance of ensuring high organizational level of the events dedicated to the remarkable dates of the national calendar (including Knowledge and Student Youth Day) and to launching the objects on the occasion of the upcoming festivities, the head of state has also focused attention on the issues of readiness for the new academic year. Dwelling on the issue of seasonal agricultural works, on the winter wheat seeding campaign in particular, the nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov placed heavy emphasis on strict observance of the appropriate agro-technical norms. Displeased with the paces of cotton-harvesting campaign, the nation’s leader has demanded to take all measures to amend the situation. In addition, the nation’s leader has addressed a number of concrete assignments on integrating the appropriate structures’ efforts to ensure high organizational level of the upcoming regular session of the Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has given concrete executive commissions to the velayat governance dignitaries on timely and qualitative execution of construction works and demanded to get the construction-related matters under their strict control. Returning to the implementation progress of seasonal agricultural works unfolded in Dashoguz velayat, the head of state has ordered to ensure timely launching of the cotton-harvesting campaign. The invited for direct video-communication khyakim of Ashgabat city M. Abilov reported on the state of affairs at the construction sites of the capital and on the ongoing works on landscaping and improvement of Ashgabat. Khyakim informed also about the comprehensive measures taken to celebrate the country’s sacred independence holiday in an appropriate manner. In addition, information was voiced about the state of preparedness for Turkmenistan’s Elders’ Council and about commissioning of some construction objects on the occasion of the new academic year startup. Emphasizing that ranking of white-marble Ashgabat among the most beautiful and developed cities of the world depends on the planned implementation of the Urban Development Program, the Turkmen leader gave to the city’s khyakim a number of definite executive instructions for further improvement of the country’s main city and its social sector. In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave executive instructions to the city’s khyakim on exercising permanent control over the situation at the construction objects to be launched in honor of Turkmenistan’s independence anniversary and over ensuring a better and higher level of Knowledge and Student Youth Day events in terms of organization and level.
