On September 1, timed to Knowledge and Student Youth Day, a grand ceremony was held with participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov of opening new complex of buildings of the Teachers’ Training School named after Aman Kekilov constructed in the Görogly Street. Chairman Deputies of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of Mejlis, military and law enforcement bodies, ministries, departments , social organizations of the country, khyakim of Ashgabat city, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, honorary elders, representatives of mass media , businessmen, as well as the student youth took part in the event. The President of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated all the event attendees on Knowledge and Student Youth Day, as well as on commissioning of the new complex of buildings of the Teachers’ Training School named after Aman Kekilov. As the head of state noted, much attention is attached in our independent and neutral country to the development of science and education, to bringing this important sphere to the level of world standards. Due to the education-favored reforms realized in the education sphere, pre-school, secondary and high education schools are being constructed and commissioned regularly in our country; the latest achievements of science and innovative, including interactive multimedia and computer technologies, are introduced in the sector. The head of state noted that the educational work in the national education sphere relies on the best world practices. In the spheres of science, education and culture, Turkmenistan cooperates closely with the European Union and other developed countries of the world. Schoolchildren and students of our country have got a wide access to the services of the global information network - Internet. As a result, equipped with modern technologies, our new higher education establishments are today in possession of vast national experience in training high-qualified personnel. Introduction of the 12-year general secondary education system in the country was a powerful impulse for fostering realization of program reforms in the national education sphere. In his speech, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted that today, the country’s first-grade pupils - our six-year-old children, make their first steps into the world of knowledge. According to the by-now noble tradition, we donate new computers to all the first-grade schoolchildren of Turkmenistan, the leader of nation said. It, in turn, is an eloquent example of the state’s tireless care of affording the younger generation an opportunity to get modern education and enhance their computer literacy. In the long run, we will further pay particular attention to bringing the national education system in line with world standards and creating every condition for harmonious development of the youth, further broadening their world outlook. We will continue realization of transformations aimed at turning Turkmenistan into one of the developed countries of the world, the leader of nation stated. To the storm of applause of the ceremony attendees, the President of Turkmenistan cut a symbolic ribbon and entered the building to get acquainted with the amenities and facilities of the Teachers’ Training School. While inspecting the hall, the head of state commissioned the related authorities to place here the bust of Aman Kekilov, the Ashgabat Teachers’ Training School is deservedly named after. The School is one of the country’s oldest educational establishments, which for 90 years of its existence has trained thousands of teachers and educational workers, who, in turn, educated many generations of Turkmen nationals. And today, in the epoch of power and happiness, it worthily continues its educational “relay race” in training high-qualified teachers. The objet was constructed by the Turkish company «Total Inşaat». The six-storey complex (52,600 square meters total area) houses 8 general lecture rooms (50-seat and 80-seat),40 other classrooms and premises for musical and fine arts classes, craft lessons, computer technologies, language and methodological laboratories. The new complex of buildings also accommodates: a museum; student medical centre equipped with necessary technologies; a 300-seat conference hall; a small conference hall; the archives for storage of documents in compliance with qualifying standards; a modern 100-seat library with 30,000 book depository. The library’s reading hall is connected to the Internet network and is equipped with other electronic means which can be used as the source of information, printed matters and Internet. The Teachers’ Training School also has an indoor 200-capacity sports hall and outdoor sports complexes, other sports grounds. All conditions are created here for going in for football, volleyball, basketball and other sports. In addition, the new complex of buildings includes the two 500-seat four-storey student’s dormitories, a 400-seat canteen, and swimming pools. At present, the Teachers’ Training School named after Aman Kekilov trains the primary school teachers (the 5th and 6th grades) of the Turkmen language and literature, mathematics, history, geography, handicrafts, English language, as well as educational workers with the right to teach English in the nursery schools. Besides, here 7 methodological societies are functioning in the School –Turkmen language and literature, mathematics, social sciences, natural history-geography, school and preschool pedagogy, psychology, drawing, handicrafts, music, and physical training, as well as foreign languages and literature. Conditions in the new complex facilitate organization of the education process at higher level and admit in the future a sufficient increase in enrollment. The head of state visited one of the lecture rooms equipped with modern computer technologies, Internet and videoconferencing resources enabling to network with other educational establishments. Here, a session in the videoconferencing format was organized first to bridge the Teachers’ Training School with the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and then with the International University of the Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan. In the talk with the students, the leader of nation asked them why they had chosen just this profession. It appeared that many of them are the followers of the family dynasty. Succession is one of the typical features of tutorship in the Turkmen society, and it is pleasant that today these good traditions are followed by the younger generation. Continuing his familiarization with the School, the head of state visited the room of preschool pedagogy and psychology, where a student has demonstrated in practice application of play education methodology aimed at the development of self-determination, speech, logical thinking, ability of finding right solution, at unleashing of the child’s creative skills and intellectual capacities. Wishing younger pupils success in their study, the leader of nation continued familiarization with the School and visited the room of multimedia technologies. Its opportunity in organization of education process with children was demonstrated by the teachers and students of the Teachers’ Training School. A large sensor table evoked particular attention. It enables to demonstrate the subject-related objects in three-dimensional models; video records and other digital materials can be screened on its display. Interested in the device, the head of state asked to show him the map of Turkmenistan and asked what additional materials can be used for visualization in the lessons devoted to the native land. The demonstration lesson continued with the topic of astronomy. Launching of the first artificial satellite of Turkistan increased interest of children. And it was taken into account while developing the innovative educational programs. One of them, for example, in addition to the data about space, includes a computer game which familiarizes the children with the structural basics of carrier-rockets for launching satellites into the space. Further, the head of state Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov attended the language laboratory and a master class with demonstration of possibilities of the interactive board. Then the leader of nation proceeded to the library (30,000 books - its book depository capacity). It has also the sections for numerous periodicals. Its 100-capacity hall is tooled with modern computers with an access to the Internet, printers, scanners, copying, and other facilities. Besides, there is a special restoration room with special equipment. One can get an access to any necessary information from the library unified electronic network. Electronic versions of the books of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as a catalogue of electronic publications, were also demonstrated. There is also a possibility to obtain information from other electronic libraries of the country. Besides, an access to foreign literary sources is also envisaged; at the request of reader, it is possible to get electronic copies of books from any point of the world. After leaving the academic building, the head of state proceeded to the separate building of sports centre of the School. There, the leader of nation examined some halls, including the hall of athletics well-tooled with different sport equipment and devices, as well as the hall for team games. Then President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov visited the 500-capacity student’s dormitory and examined the two-person rooms. In addition to comfort, here optimal conditions are created for self-study and training: notebooks, textbooks, and other aids. Here, there are also the rooms for recreation activity where one can read, work on computer, see video, and hold various leisure events, as well as a utility premise. From the dormitory, the head of state headed to the conference hall of the Teachers’ Training School named after Aman Kekilov where he made an entry in the Distinguished Guests book. Truly grateful to the foreign ambassadors for their participation in the present and all other large and important events held in our country, the leader of nation summed the School’s whole story up. The head of state also told about the famous Turkmen poet, education worker Aman Kekilov, whose name this educational establishment bears. And today, the leader of nation noted, an important role is assigned to this educational institution in the important and lofty mission – to train the teachers for the children of nursery and secondary schools. Once again congratulating teachers and students of the School on opening of the new complex of buildings, the head of state wished them great success in tackling the important tasks set to the teachers of the country and passed to the staff of the School the keys to new cars. Further the leader of nation in his car headed to the shopping centre «Ashgabadynyalkymy» nearby the School. There, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov is welcome with heads of ministries and departments of the country, foreign ambassadors accredited to Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the national private sector and numerous residents of Ashgabat. A festive music-and-song performance adds more coloring to the event. The head of state approaches to the central entrance and to the storm of applause of the people assembled cuts a symbolic ribbon, thus signaling opening of one more shopping centre in the capital. A four-storey shopping centre (about 44,500 sq m) houses 17 shops, a 550-seat restaurant, a cafe “Altyn achar”, and beauty parlors. The shopping centre « Ashgabadynyalkymy » offers the population numerous types of domestically produced products including dried melon, melon jam, molasses, juices, and other beverages, tomato paste, as well as confectionery goods – all the goods and packaging are also manufactured by private entrepreneurs. The leader of nation familiarizes with the assortment list of goods which is arranged by key trends of daily demand and taking into account numerous preferences. The list includes thousands of items: from fresh vegetables and fruits to sausage goods and semi-finished products, smoked foods, meat and fish delicacies, confectionary goods. Going up to the second floor, the head of state visits the cafe “Altyn achar”, the menu of which also offers sweet foods of local manufacturers. The original eco-style design of the cafe also disposes to spending nice pastime. On the second floor of the shopping centre, there is also a manufactured goods shop which offers a wide range of high quality domestically produced items made of natural fabrics - including bedclothes, towels, jeans clothes are offered to customers. No doubt that the shop of furniture and home appliances manufactured by Turkmen entrepreneurs - different types of durable and practical furniture articles for home, office and interior of social places, kitchen equipment, and household articles - will become one of the frequently visited places. The shopping centre may also boast of the clothes, souvenirs, and national handmade needlework articles shops. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov evinced interest in the produce of the shop of printed goods - stationeries, text books, in various types and quality of paper and paper products manufactured by Turkmen entrepreneurs. The President of Turkmenistan also visited the florist’s shop. Completing familiarization with the shopping centre, the head of state made an entry in the Distinguished Guests Book. Further, the leader of nation headed towards the nearby multilevel 300-car parking ground which will render round-the-clock services to the population. The head of state went up to the upper level to watch the panorama of the city. In view of the Ashgabat’s road-transport infrastructure intensive modernization, automobilization of the country, reconstruction of the existing roads, construction of new highways, elevated bridges, underground and surface pedestrian crossings, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov commissioned the relevant authorities to continue the work on creating parking areas, their well-thought location, especially in the residential areas and nearby large shopping centers. Another significant construction premiere timed to Knowledge and Student Youth Day was commissioning of a comprehensive secondary school built in the capital’s residential area Keshi. With great inspiration the President of Turkmenistan is welcomed by the participants of the ceremony, teachers, and schoolchildren of school #116. To the storm of applause, the head of state cuts a symbolic ribbon and the school - a symbol of Turkmenistan’s new educational policy, opens its doors wide for its new schoolchildren and guests of the ceremony. The head of state familiarizes with the new educational establishment built against the order of Ashgabat city khyakimlik by the Turkish construction company «Total Inshaat Sanayi Tijaret LTD STI». In the 600-seat school (2.84 hectares), there are all conditions for organizing the high-level educational process, physical-and-sport and cultural activities, leisure measures and actions. Classrooms and laboratories are equipped with modern multimedia and computer technologies, textbooks on different subjects. There are laboratories for practical classes in physics, chemistry, and other subjects, a library, specialized premises designed for dance, drama and other circles. Besides, there are medical rooms of pediatrician and dentist equipped with modern technologies, a 200-seat canteen, and a large conference hall for different festive events. Schoolchildren can also enjoy large and small sport halls as well as sport grounds in the territory of the school for practicing football, volleyball, basketball, different types of athletics, as well as for organizing outdoor sport competitions. The rooms for craft lessons are also envisaged in the school. Girls can learn sewing, weaving, cooking national dishes; and boys can master trades of carpenter, joiner, and metal worker as well as secrets of jewelry-making art. Besides, in the territory of the academic building, there is a meteorological station for making observation of the weather and a 250 sq m greenhouse with where schoolchildren under the supervision of skilled teachers will master methods of cultivating different species of trees, gourds and flowers. His getting-acquaintance tour of the new school the head of state started with the classrooms of primary classes - the lesson of first-graders held in the fascinating game form. Then the President of Turkmenistan visited the play room where six-year-olders had a lesson. The teacher of the class told the head of state about the conditions created here, modern interactive technologies applied for advancing children’s abilities. Wishing the children success in their study, the President of Turkmenistan, on the occasion of today’s event, donated notebooks to the first-graders of the new school. Leaving the school, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov congratulated all the people assembled on the opening of new school and wished its teachers great success in their important and responsible work and schoolchildren - purposefulness, and diligence in mastering the knowledge. *** Startup of the new academic year in our country was marked with opening of tens of educational establishments built in all velayats and Ashgabat.
