On September 6, a working trip started of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov to Balkan velayat, timed to the ceremonies of launching some important construction objects and to the upcoming regular session of the Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan to be held in Avaza etrap of Turkmenbashi city. From the airport of Turkmenbashi, the leader of nation headed to the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone. The car of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov runs by the two monumental stelas – “Dayanc” and “Yelken”, built at the “Airport-Kiyanly-Avaza” highway junction. The ceremony of opening the stelas, which in compliance with Resolution of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov were built by the individual enterprise “Gundogdy” in the frames of the National Program for Balkan Velayat Development, was timed to the upcoming Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan. The first anchor-shaped stela “Dayanc” is 30 meters high and 60-meters in circumference. The complex includes also a thermometer, compass and a clock. Throughout its all height, the stela is decorated with the ornaments of Turkmen carpets. Nearby, another stela “Yelken” (36 meters height, 60-meters in circumference) symbolizes a sailer. Like “Dayanc”, this stela is also decorated with the ornaments of Turkmen carpets and 12 seagulls. The leader of nation arrives to the square at the junction of the Berkar and Oguzkhan Avenues where a 100-meter-high flagpole is installed with the State Flag of independent neutral Turkmenistan waving in the wind. There, everything is already ready for the cross-country cycle race. The President gives a start to the massive cycle race and heads the race. The head of nation is followed by the associates and dignitaries. The event was also attended by the leaders of embassies and consulates of Turkmenistan in foreign countries, social organizations, khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city. Having overcome the 3-kilometer section of the Oguzkhan Avenue, the race continued its way along the Arkadag Avenu. In several minutes, the participants of action arrive to the new sport complex. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov cycles into the square in front of the modern object that opens the construction premiere in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”/. The head of state and all the accompanying associates are cordially welcomed by numerous inhabitants of Balkan velayat, youths and honorary elders. Truly grateful for the hospitable welcome, the head of state proceeds to the main entrance of the sport complex. To the burst of applause of the ceremony participants, the President of Turkmenistan cuts the symbolic ribbon and enters the building, erected by a Turkish company against the order of “Turkmennebitgazgurlushyk” State Concern in compliance with presidential Resolution. Total area of the complex is 11,600 sq m. It is built to create most favorite conditions for the interesting and comfortable time-spending of holidaymakers in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone. The leader of nation proceeds to the multi-profile sport hall on the ground floor to get acquainted with the conditions created for going in for different sports, including volleyball, basketball, handball, footsal. Then the head of state visited the fitness center and evinced interest in the sporting equipment of the center. There, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov had a talk with famous German fitness specialist Bert Rauschenbuch who took active part in equipping the center. Due to professionalism and many-year experience of German specialist, the training simulators and devices are ideally selected and placed in the hall; efficiently and rationally is used the area of the center. In the course of talk, Bert Rauschenbuch told to the President of Turkmenistan what individual approaches are to be used when choosing and offering training exercises and methods to the client. The training program in the center is to be maximum efficient. In this regard, it was noted that prior to the general training cycle it is necessary to determine the types of muscle-training exercises oriented to various groups of muscles. Familiarizing the Turkmen leader with the complex of exercises, Bert Rauschenbuch has demonstrated basic exercises on the training simulators – press-ups and the exercises oriented to strengthening the muscles of legs and back, press. The training methodology is incremental - from the simple to the complex. The fitness hall is equipped with monitors connected with training simulators – a good way to watch the training processes, to correct the shortcomings, to improve synchronism of exercises. Satisfied with the equipment of the center, the head of state has stressed that excellent conditions of fitness will afford to conduct efficient training activities. Addressing to Chairman of the State Sports Committee K. Seidov and Rector of the National Sports and Tourism Institute A. Saryev, the head of state charged them with the task to study the positive aspects and developments of the new complex and introduce them in other sporting establishments of the country. After the fitness center, the President continued familiarization with the complex. The ground floor of the complex accommodates sauna, Turkish baths and SPA-salon. There, there are also sport-oriented swimming pools intended for hosting sporting programs and competitions of the national and international levels. The second floor houses the billiard hall and the halls for playing bowling, tennis, etc. Those sports are now popular among the youths. The infrastructure of the complex includes also a cozy dining room, herbal tea room, etc. The open terrace in the third floor, the President visited, overlooks the beautiful panorama of “Avaza” decorated with high-class hotels and well-organized comfortable zones of rest. In the terrace, the head of state received President of the International Group of Companies “Areti” Igor Makarov. Noteworthy, Igor Makarov is the head of the Russian professional cycle-racing team “Katyusha” that successfully performs in various competitions. In the course of conversation, Igor Makarov informed the head of state about implementation of the earlier presidential commissions and projects. He also submitted the offers on furthering joint activities in a number of directions. Showing consideration for the Turkmen leader’s wishes, the guest has assured the President that the company with honor will implement the presidential commissions and do their utmost to timely and qualitatively implement them. In conclusion, as a sign of recognition of our country’s success in cycle-racing sport development, the guest donated a new-model sporting bicycle to the head of state. Then, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov proceeded to a special “parking” ground intended for mooring of yachts and small vessels. Familiarizing with landscaping and improvement of the territory, the leader of nation concentrated attention of the attendees on advancing the works aimed at strengthening the material base of the transport sector. The head of state has also placed emphasis on creating all conditions necessary for having comfortable rest on the pleasure boats. In this regard, the head of state made several executive instructions. *** In the afternoon, in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”, the ceremony was held of opening the promenade alleys along the artificial river Avaza; the alleys are lined with original benches and street lights. That same day, in the new sport complex, a master class was organized with participation of the German fitness specialists Bert Rauschenbach. The main theme of master class was how to properly organize training regime, distribution of loads, and selection of efficient exercises.
