On October 3, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a regular working meeting in the format of videoconferencing with participation of velayats’ and Ashgabat city’s khyakims to consider the implementation of socio-economic reforms, the course of agricultural operations – winter wheat sowing and cotton harvest campaign, as well as the preparation for nationwide planting yovar (Community work day) and the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence. Upon hearing the reports of heads of regional administrations, the Head of the State has made critical comments on the wheat sowing results and low rates of the cotton harvest campaign in several regions of the country. The nation’s Leader demanded to analyze the current situation and eliminate the causes hindering the progress of the field work. Speaking about the importance of the next nationwide yovar, scheduled on October 8, in the framework of large-scale greening up campaign, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov commissioned to ensure the high organizational level of the event, well-coordinated work of the relevant structures. In addition, the Head of the State instructed to exercise constant control over observance of high quality and clear operation schedule on the new buildings, and also to prepare comprehensively for the 25th anniversary of the country’s Independence. Then, the Ashgabat city’s khyakim M.Abilov reported on the situation in the capital, on facilities constructed in the framework of town-planning program, including the construction progress of new dwelling houses and bridges, fundamental reconstruction of roads. The report also focused on the ongoing work to increase the welfare level of inhabitants of the country’s main city, improve and develop Ashgabat, and prepare for the 25th anniversary of Homeland’s Independence. Upon hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted that the concern for improving the citizens’ social conditions is the state policy priority. Emphasizing that the quality and level of measures taken in the capital should be an example, the Head of the State has demanded to keep in the focus of close attention all issues of further improvement of urban infrastructure, usage of the latest technologies and best practices. The Head of the State demanded in due time to complete works on the jubilee objects of Ashgabat, thereby noting the need to maintain the city’s impeccable cleanliness and order, and the Turkmen capital, of course, should be the demonstrative sample for the whole country. In this context, the Leader of the nation highlighted the importance of nation-wide yovar, serious and comprehensive preparation for it, giving in this connection, concrete instructions. The President of Turkmenistan also addressed Ashgabat city’s khyakim appropriate instructions on the preparation for the Remembrance Day, annually commemorated in the country. Speaking about the forthcoming significant date – the 25th anniversary of sacred Independence, the Leader of the nation demanded to ensure the high level of gala festivities.
