On October 22, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov participated in the presentation ceremony of state awards to the most distinguished servicemen and officers of the country’s military and law-enforcement agencies on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan. In the morning, the Head of the State came to the Central Officers’ House of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan. Here, the nation’s Leader was welcomed by the heads of military and law-enforcement agencies. Secretary of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, Minister of Defence Ya.Berdiev reported on the readiness for the awarding ceremony of “Türkmenistanyň Garaşsyzlygynyň 25 ýyllygyna” Anniversary Medal to the heads, servicemen and officers of power structures. Upon hearing the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces came through the building, where he delivered a speech in front of servicemen and officers of military and law-enforcement agencies. Speaking about the forthcoming military parade on October 27 in the main square of the capital on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov emphasized that solemn parade would demonstrate a high level of defence achieved over these years and greatly increased combat potential of our army. Then, the Head of the State signed Ukases on awarding the most distinguished servicemen and officers on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Independence. With great respect, the award-winning servicemen pick up the tributes granted by President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov after paying homage to the sacred banner, recite the patriotic oath. Upon the ceremony completion, Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defence Ya.Berdiev on behalf of all the heads, servicemen and officers of military and law-enforcement agencies expressed the words of sincere gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces for granting high state awards and valuable edition of the book “Turkmenistan”, which reflects the tremendous achievements of our state during the years of Independence. The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov once again congratulated the awardees and all attendees on the forthcoming 25th anniversary of the Homeland’s Independence and wished them further achievements in their responsible service.
