On November 24, on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Turkmenistan Gerhard Sayller. In the course of meeting, the newly appointed ambassador was introduced to the major trends of the nation’s leader-initiated home and foreign policy, which brings wide international cooperation in the interests of peace, security and general welfare to the forefront. During a lively exchange of views on the development-favored prospects of the Turkmen-Austrian relations, the emphasis was placed on the two countries’ willingness to boost the mutuality-based bilateral cooperation. In this context, the parties spoke for furthering the by-now well-established and efficient practice of organizing the Turkmen-Austrian cultural events, which contributes to the two friendly nations’ cultures.
