President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a regular working videoconferencing with the participation of khyakims of velayats and city of Ashgabat. The agenda of video-session was focused on the main vectors of the country’s socio-economic development, the situation in the agro-industrial complex, preparations for the landmark event - the 21st anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, and the New Year festivities. The video-reports of khyakims were concentrated on the progress of implementation of the National Rural Development Program, construction of the facilities in velayats, preparation of the agri-machinery for the new season, ensuring warm and affluent wintering of the livestock. Concentrating attention of the regional governors on the tasks set to the agri-sector, the head of state made several remarks in this regard. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has obliged them to analyze the reasons of non-performance of the state’s cotton quantity-target contracts in several districts and expressed dissatisfaction with low paces of agrarian reforms aimed at increasing the productivity of lands and introducing innovative methods of economic management. The khyakims were given the orders to prepare the reports on the state of affairs in the velayats’ agriculture and present them at the upcoming enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers devoted to drawing together the conclusions from the 11-month work in the running year. The video-report on the situation in the capital was concentrated on the activity of community services, the ongoing modernization of the social infrastructure, and preparations for the mass events timed to celebrating the upcoming holidays. The instructions and recommendations of the head of state were directed at the sustainable improvement of Ashgabat, maintaining the city’s environmental well-being, and exercising constant control over the uninterrupted functioning of the municipal infrastructure including the heating, energy and gas supply systems. Having sorted out the issues of top priority in the socio-economic life of the provinces and Ashgabat city, the President of Turkmenistan oriented the khyakims to applying more efficient organizational approaches for ensuring the coordinated work of all structures, introducing the best practices and advanced technologies to the productive sectors, and providing quality-of-life improvements to the people.
