President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov familiarized with the construction process of new highway and railway bridges Turkmenabat-Farab. On the place of construction site, the nation leader was provided with stands with technical characteristics and future look of bridges over Amyderya, which construction is realized by Company Limited “Road Construction “Altcom” (Ukraine). This company is also general contractor of highway bridge Atamyrat-Kerkichi put into exploitation in February 2013. Having reported about works at the sites and presented the finalized plan of highway bridge, Alexander Tislenko – the chairman of board of directors of the Ukrainian Company Limited “Financial and industrial groups of Altcom”, which includes “Road Construction “Altcom” Co Ltd declared about readiness to develop the partnership, expressed interest in strengthening of positions on prospective Turkmen market. In this connection, the nation leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted long and successful practice of cooperation of Turkmenistan with companies of Ukraine, having confirmed the readiness of our country for further development of mutually beneficial relations, particularly in the field of transport-communication infrastructure. Transport corridor Turkmenabat-Farab, being constructed over Amyderya, is consist of such complicated engineering structures as 1750-meter long railway bridge and 1600-meter long highway bridge with 21.5-meter wide roadway. Entry slip roads will lead to the highway bridge. The height of bridge spans over river allows realizing without difficulty the traffic of riverboats. The technical solutions take into account the local climatic and geological conditions. The foundation of bridges was laid in February 2013. New transport corridor over Amyderya is urged to become “golden link” of international net of transport communications and play the role in rapid development of mineral and raw material resources of the right bank of Amyderya.
