President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, the hyakims of Mary and Lebap Velayat and the heads of the ministries and departments concerned. The priority tasks of implementing the social and economic development strategy, the measures taken to celebrate the remarkable dates in the national calendar, the draft documents and other important issues of the domestic policy were discussed during the meeting. The President congratulated the meeting participants and the Turkmen people on the beginning of the holy month of Oraza, which embodies the lofty principles of unity and humanism. Emphasizing that good deeds are done during the holy month of Oraza, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on the construction of a mosque in Lebap Velayat. The Turkmen leader noted that the mosque building should represent the harmonious combination of the modern achievements in architecture and traditions of the national art of building. The Turkmen leader said that that he would make the working trips to Mary and Lebap Velayat to monitor the on-going work in the regions to improve social and living conditions of citizens. The hyakims of Mary and Lebap Velayat reported on the on-going work in their regions to achieve the objectives of the national rural development programme and the measures taken in preparation for the working visits of the Turkmen leader to the regions. The Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on the measures taken to implement the oil and gas industry development programme, the Mary Velayat social and development programmes and organize the celebrations in honour of the 20th anniversary of the Saglyk State Programme. The information on the implementation of the programme of activities in preparation for the summer school holidays to ensure that children would spend their holidays usefully was presented. The report on the measures taken in preparation for the opening ceremony of a children’s recreational centre in Serdarabat in Lebap Velayat was presented. The information on the progress in developing the project for the construction and capacity of a power plant in Mary Velayat was presented. The report on the measures taken in preparation for the festive events in Mary Velayat, the Week of Culture in Lebap Velayat and the festivities in honour of Day of Cultural and Art Workers, widely celebrated in our country, was presented. The information on the presentation of the books by the Turkmen leader Turkmen Medeniyeti and Ile Dowlet Geler Bolsa was presented. The report on the work carried out by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in the framework of the national social and economic development programmes was presented. The report on the programme aimed at accelerating the pace of work in the transport and communications sectors, strengthening the material and technical basis of these sectors and fulfilling the tasks was presented. The report on the current situation in the industrial sector focused on the measures taken in preparation for the opening ceremonies of industrial facilities, located in Garlyk village in Lebap Velayat. The information on the measures taken to develop industrial infrastructure and improve social and living conditions in the eastern region of the country was presented. The fire safety programme was presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration. The report on the measures taken to modernize social infrastructure, transport and engineering systems, communications and power supply networks and communal facilities in the etraps of Ashgabat in compliance with the work plans was presented. The report on the progress in seasonal agricultural activities on cotton plantations and other fields and the measures taken to complete the harvest campaign in a timely and proper manner was presented. The information on the preparations for the opening ceremonies of the ginneries in Sakarchaga Etrap in Mary Velayat and Karabekaul Etrap in Lebap Velayat was presented. In conclusion, the Turkmen leader focused on the need to concert efforts of the relevant agencies to prepare for and ensure the high level of organisation of the upcoming large-scale events.
