Citizens of Turkmenistan are anticipating the special publishing premieres that will take place on the eve of the upcoming remarkable events in the life of the country. These are particularly the new books that have recently come from the pen of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. One of them is dedicated to Turkmen culture, the multi-millennial heritage of the Turkmen nation and the contemporary objectives of the state policy in this sphere. The book is expected to appear in print on Day of Cultural and Art Workers, celebrated in Turkmenistan on 27 June. Another new book by the Turkmen leader is dedicated to the ancient history and modern period of the musical art of the Turkmen people and multifaceted talent of baghshis. These days, the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is completing the work on the seventh volume of the monumental monograph Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan about the healing properties of Turkmen flora. Six volumes of the encyclopaedia published earlier have become widely known and recognized in foreign countries, especially in academic circles. The publication of the seventh volume will be a priceless gift for Day of Health and Medical Industry and the 20th anniversary of the Saglyk State Programme. Another new book by the Turkmen leader, the work on which is nearing completion, is intended for a wide readership. It is dedicated to neutrality of Turkmenistan, the 20th anniversary of which our country is going to celebrate this December. In his busy schedule the President of Turkmenistan always finds the time for sports, music, writing and research activity. The fruits of this hard work are the well-known books, such as Ahalteke Horses – Our Pride and Glory, The Living Legend about Turkmen art of carpet making, the multi-volume encyclopaedia Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan and other publications translated into many languages.
