The concern for the Turkmen citizens’ health and healthy life style is reflected not only in the state programmes, the laws of Turkmenistan, the programmes on development of sanatorium and resort infrastructure but in the social life processes, increasing people’s spiritual and cultural level and environmentalization of the national economy as well. These particular principles and values lay the foundation of the policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

An important aspect of agricultural policy in Turkmenistan in 2016 was the creation of an effective agribusiness management system. In January, on the basis of a number of branch offices, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources and the State Committee for Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan environment and land resources have been established.

Improvement of science and education systems, particularly the training of young highly qualified specialists – generation of the scientists of new formation, is one of the priorities of reformation policy of Turkmenistan.

According to economic strategy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, phased transition to market economy is followed by the solution of issues for efficient use of natural resources, increase of production of different goods made of domestic materials, saturation of local market with high quality native goods, which are able to compete foreign analogues.

Having actively cooperated with the United Nations, its leading professional institutions, UNHCR and International Organization for Migration and other authoritative bodies, Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to efforts in these areas to ensure the rights of refugees and asylum who do not have citizenship. Keeping basic international legal instruments and the relevant UN Conventions, our country is in fact confirms the commitment to fulfill the assumed obligations, as well as the principles of humanism, justice, democratic development and the modern legal society.

During the session of the cabinet of Ministers on November 18, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that development of mutually beneficial partnership with neighbouring countries including with Caspian states is one of the priority directions of foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan, which takes active part in formation of relative legal framework indicated by his constructive initiatives.

During the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 14, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, having approved Action Plan for provision of complete realization of the rights of disabled persons in work and occupancy for 2017 – 2020.
