Macroeconomic indices for four months of the year were presented at the session of the Government dedicated to the outcomes of the development of the country in January – April 2018. For the period under review, the growth of the GDP was 6.2 percent including 4.6 percent in industrial complex, 0.4 percent in construction, 10.4 percent in transport and communication sector, 7.8 percent in trade, 3.2 percent in agriculture and 10.1 percent in service sphere.

8th session of joint Turkmen – German Committee was held in Berlin on April 29 – May 1. The results of 4 months of 2018 testify to the stable operation of oil and gas enterprises. The plan for oil and gas condensate production was fulfilled by 102.2 percent, processing of hydrocarbon raw materials by 101.6 percent, production of gasoline by 102.1 percent, diesel fuel by 100.2 percent, polypropylene by 102 percent, lubricating oils - 107.6 percent, liquefied gas - 102.7 percent, investment development - 102.8 percent. The construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline is carried out according to the plan.

A forum, devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Manager Training Program in Turkmenistan, has taken place in a conference hall of the capital’s Ýyldyz Hotel. The Program has been co-implemented by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Seminars and training workshops were organized as part of the event.
