Avaza National Tourist Zone will host the International Conference on Transport and Logistics. The international forum is scheduled for 4-5 May of this year.

Located in geostationary orbit, Turkmenistan’s satellite, “TürkmenÄlem 52°Е”, enables to provide comprehensive communications services, including digital broadcasting, telephone communications, videoconferencing, data transmission, satellite Internet not only to customers in our country, but also to users in other countries in Central Asia, Iran, Turkey, North Africa, Europe. At present, high-capacity transponders of the satellite allow high-definition national television and radio broadcasting. Various ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan use satellite-provided services.

To unify all digital stations into a single automated communications system, Turkmen communications engineers will have to lay over 2,000 kilometers of fiber-optic and copper cables throughout the country. By now, over 1,000 kilometers of various cables have been laid in the capital to provide its residents with a modern package of services (line communications, Internet, and IP TV services).

The investment rate in Turkmenistan’s telecommunications sector grows with every passing year, this leads to an increase in numbers of telephone and cellular communications subscribers, Internet customers and communications channels, run through high-technology fiber-optic cables. The number of people living in hard-to-reach and remote areas in the regions, who will get access to information and communication technologies, is expected to increase significantly this year.

The forthcoming commissioning of the first in Turkmenistan and the largest on the territory of Central Asia Garlyk Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise means the birth of a new branch of the national economy - the mining industry with the use of the most advanced scientific and technological achievements in this field.

By the order of the President of Turkmenistan, the State Acceptance Committee was established with the purpose of ensuring the proper organization of works on acceptance of the Garlyk Mining and Processing Plant, whose construction was completed at the potassium salts field in Lebap province.

The forum was organized under annual exhibition of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Realization of the tasks of the private sector under the main national programmes, fulfilment of the government orders and investment projects, new vectors of partnership and promotion of domestic goods abroad, development of female entrepreneurship in the regions and others were in the centre of attention of the participants.

Ashgabat–Turkmenbashi high-speed motorway will begin at the 24th kilometer of Ashgabat–Dashoguz highway, and run through Gokdepe and Baharly districts in Ahal province, as well as through Serdar, Bereket and Turkmenbashi districts and the city of Balkanabat in Balkan province.

The Concept of Creating Free Economic Zones in Turkmenistan Up to 2023 will be developed. As reported at today’s session of the Cabinet of Ministers, the document aims to facilitate the integrated and rational use of mineral resources; boost export potential; promote import-substituting production; encourage introduction of innovative technologies; contribute to a wider attraction of foreign investments and establishment of joint ventures.

By the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, “Turkmenhowayollary” State National Service has been renamed as “Turkmenhowayollary” Service. The decision was adopted with the purpose of improving the work of civil aviation service in Turkmenistan and bringing its organizational structure into conformity with international standards.
