The President of Turkmenistan signed an Order prescribing ministries and sectoral agencies of the transport and communications field and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to convene and ensure the high standards for hosting an international transport conference in Avaza National Tourist Zone on 28 November.

The Conference Hall of the capital’s Yyldyz Hotel hosted a round table dedicated to the aspects of integration of national minorities into all spheres of public life. The meeting was attended by the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Lamberto Zannier, the Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, Natalya Drozd, advisers to the OSCE High Commissioner, Bob Deen, Andrei Khanzhin and Elzbieta Kuzborska, representatives of ministries and government agencies of Turkmenistan, the country’s public organizations, mass media etc.

High-level talks between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev who arrived to the country on official visit was held in Turkmen capital.

Speaking during the press conference on the outcomes of the top-level talks in Ashgabat, President Ilham Aliyev noted that the peoples of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were united with the history, culture, common roots, traditions and worldview.

Upon completion of the ceremony of signing the bilateral documents, Presidents of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan held a press conference.

Official visit of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Turkmenistan was held on November 22, 2018 by the invitation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The expanded talks were followed by the signing ceremony of bilateral documents. The existing legislative and regulatory framework was reinforced by 21 documents.

One-on-one talks between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were held in the capital of Turkmenistan. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov welcomed the distinguished guest and thanked his Azerbaijani colleague for the attention given to the development of interstate relations that are based on the traditions of friendship and the historical, cultural and spiritual commonalities. The Turkmen leader noted that the two countries also successfully cooperated on the international arena and shared the common vision on the pertinent issues on the regional and global agenda. The head of state expressed confidence that the Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan cooperation, that is built on this solid foundation and has a strong potential, will continue to progress for the benefit of all.

The official ceremony of meeting of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took place in Ashgabat.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in Ashgabat on an official visit, the defenders of the Fatherland and the victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake at the “Halk hakydasy” Memorial Complex. President Ilham Aliyev laid flowers to “Baky Şöhrat” monument, got acquainted with the exposition of the “Watan mukaddesligi” Museum on the territory of the Memorial complex, and left an entry in the Book of the Guests of Honour.
