The National Parliament hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea that arrived in the Turkmen capital headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Yong-ho.

Minsk hosted the session of the Commonwealth of Independent State Foreign Ministers Assembly where Turkmenistan delegation under the leadership of the Deputy Foreign Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part.

Information on the preparation to international forum on transport theme planned on May 2 was given at the session of the Government on April 6.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where priority issues of the state policy have been discussed.

In accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Serdarov Ata Oveznepesovich was released from the posts of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium (Brussels), the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Head of the Turkmenistan mission in the European Union, and the Resident Representative of Turkmenistan in the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons due to the transfer to another appointment.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Mark Von Pentz, the Head of Agricultural and Turf Equipment Division of John Deere Company.

According to the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova received the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Turkmenistan Heiti Mäemees.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held offsite session of the State Security Council where outcomes of the activity of military and law enforcement departments for the first quarter of 2018 have been summed up and the main directions of work of the security forces in the near future have been specified.

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent warm congratulations and best wished to Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in relation with his re-election to the post of the President of the Arabic Republic of Egypt.
