President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov heard the reports of the Akhal, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats’ khyakims on the successful implementation of treaty obligations on raw cotton production by the country’s farmers, and the Balkan velayat khyakim on the delivery of targeted amounts of horticultural production. On behalf of the rural toilers, region leaders congratulated the head of state on the labor victory of Turkmen farmers.

Turkmenistan and the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation on priority areas of interaction. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding decree at a government meeting.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated Turkmen railwaymen with commissioning of the Bereket Locomotive Depot. “With your success in building railway lines of national and international significance, engineering and technical facilities, and with your diligent work you contribute greatly to ensuring prosperity of the country, strengthening its economic might, and developing other areas of national economy”, states the message by the head of state.

On the eve of the 26th anniversary of independence, farmers in Turkmenistan completed an important agricultural campaign of planting winter grain, and fully met their contractual obligations having collected over 1 million 50 thousand tons of raw cotton.

President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, extended deep condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, over the terrorist attacks in the mosques of Kabul and Ghor province that led to numerous casualties and injuries.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a horse ride, during which at the request of Hyakim of Ashgabat Sh. Durdylyev, he inspected the projects of facilities and drawing of their location planned to be built in the southern part of the capital.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received a message from President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob in which she congratulated the Turkmen leader on the successful organization of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Government where priority directions of the state policy have been reviewed.

By a Decree issued by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, Rejepmyrat Kakabaevich Annaberdiev has been appointed khyakim of Kopetdag etrap in Ashgabat.

Turkmenistan is preparing for the 7th Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA VII) to be held on November 14-15 this year in Ashgabat.
