President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Secretary of State, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Grigory Karasin who arrived in Ashgabat.

International Conference “Peace, Stability and International Cooperation in Caspian Region” with participation of the representatives from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Department for Caspian Sea Affairs under the President of Turkmenistan were the hosts of the event.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presided over the working video-selector meeting, which was attended by the Cabinet Deputy Chairman supervising agro-industrial complex, velayats’ and the capital’s khyakims to discuss the directions for the country’s development, seasonal agricultural work, the National Rural Program implementation, preparation for the celebration of the 26th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

Chairperson of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko, addressed a message to the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressing her gratitude for the invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the Ashgabat–2017 Games, and conferment of the title of the Honorary Citizen of the city of Ashgabat.

A delegation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan headed by Chairwoman A.Nurberdiyeva will take part in the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union on October 14-16, 2017, which will be held in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will develop the concept of the co-chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the CIS in 2018. This was stated by the deputy Prime Minister, Head of the MFA of Turkmenistan R. Meredov at the meeting of the government.

In Riyadh on November 8-9, 2017, the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Saudi Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation will be held. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Babayev on the oil and gas complex at the government session.
