On October 27, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened a joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council to sum up the results of the festive parade held to mark the 25th anniversary of the Motherland’s Independence and to discuss some other issues of state life. Governors of velayats and Ashgabat also attended the session.

On October 27, the entire country celebrated the major national holiday – glorious 25th anniversary of the Motherland’s Independence in the atmosphere of general enthusiasm.

On behalf of the people of Turkmenistan and on his own behalf, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov extended to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, his sincere condolences on the demise of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, former Emir of the State of Qatar.

President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov sent his deep condolences to Mr Mamnoon Hussain, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Mr Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, following the terrorist attack in the city of Quetta that caused fatalities and injuries.

On October 26, on the stage of “Mejlisler merkezi” metropolitan Congress Centre State, the concert of masters of Arts was held, devoted to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence. The festive celebration was attended by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.
