President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov organized a special meeting of the Government to discuss the preparations for the important sports events to be held in the country - the “Amul-Hazar 2018” international motor rally, the 2018 Weightlifting World Championship and the events scheduled for June 3 that the United Nations Organization declared as the World Bicycle Day on the initiative of Turkmenistan.

Mass cycling ride was held in the capital along the highways in Kopetdag foothills. The participants of the event included representatives of ministries and departments, students, numerous supporters of healthy life style who inspired by personal example of Turkmen leader promote the ideas and beginning of the Head of the State on the development of sport movement in the country.

On the occasion of the Constitution and the State Flag Day of Turkmenistan celebrated in our country on May 18, a number of festive events took place in the country and abroad. One of the bright events was the ceremony of opening the school built by the representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the Funtovo village, the Volga district, the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.

On the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, hosted a sadaqah and iftar at the specially designated venue at the Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex.

A festive event took place in the Palace of orphaned children, at which its pupils received sweets on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Representatives of the national parliament, political and public organizations of the country, and the media gathered to participate in the celebration.

“Cordially congratulate you on the Day of Constitution of Turkmenistan and the State Flag of Turkmenistan”, says President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressing the compatriots.

Last bell ceremony in all secondary comprehensive schools of the country will be held under slogan “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road”. Tours around the sightseeing of the capital will be organized for the graduates. Big event will be held in Ashgabat Concert Hall on the same day. The best graduates of secondary schools will receive the gifts on behalf of the Head of the State. The celebration will be finished by the concert of art masters. The events on occasion of the end of education year will also be held in all velayat centres.

Conferences, devoted to Constitution and State Flag Day, brought together representatives of the local community, national parliament, scientific and artistic circles, labor collectives, and youth.

The first session of the Regional working group on the Program of actions on providing assistance to the countries of the Aral Sea Basin (ASBP-4) was organized in the conference hall of the Grand Turkmen Hotel in Ashgabat in the framework of Turkmenistan’s chair in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS).
