President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Cordially greeting each other, the leaders of the two states expressed satisfaction with the friendly character of the Turkmen-Russian relations, built on the principles of mutual respect, constructiveness and strategic partnership. Taking the opportunity, the President of Turkmenistan cordially congratulated his Russian colleague on his birthday that was celebrated the day before and wished the RF President good health and great achievements in his important work at the highest political office. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin discussed the priority issues of the international cooperation in the context of the top-level agreements as well as the solid potential of the mutually beneficial consolidation of efforts in various spheres. In this regard, it was underlined the crucial role of the joint Intergovernmental commission in the implementation of the scheduled plans of bilateral cooperation and the development of new promising areas. The trade and economic sphere with great opportunities for diversifying productive contacts, increasing the volume and expanding the range of commodity circulation, enhancing the business and investment activity, as well as the energy sector and the transport and communication sector - the basic segments of the global economy, and a number of other industries were specified among the key vectors of the Turkmen-Russian partnership. The close cooperation established between Turkmenistan and the largest regions and subjects of the Russian Federation, as well as the successful work of the leading companies of the Russian Federation in our country stand as a good example of the long-term bilateral cooperation. During the telephone conversation, the parties also exchanged the views on a number of important aspects of the regional and global agenda, reaffirming the commitment of Turkmenistan and Russia to the constructive partnership within the UN and other authoritative international organizations in order to ensure global peace, security and well-being. In conclusion, expressing belief that the high level of mutual understanding and trust will provide a platform for building up the interstate cooperation and strengthening the Turkmen-Russian friendship, President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and President Vladimir Putin exchanged the best wishes to each other and the peoples of the both countries.
