President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minority Lamberto Zannier. Having expressed sincere gratitude to the Head of the State for warm welcome and the opportunity to discuss topical issues of cooperation in personal conversation, the guest highlighted invariable interest of the OSCE in expansion of efficient partnership with Turkmenistan. Welcoming the guest, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed the commitment of our country to the cooperation with the OSCE, which received new content recently. Being full member of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, our country stands for the establishment of the dialog, which is to make positive effect on the world processes of development, the Head of the State highlighted, having expressed the gratitude to Lamberto Zannier for active support to promote this cooperation. During the conversation, the sides exchanged the visions on current condition and aspects of development of the partnership in wide spectrum of directions including political, economic, ecological and humanitarian scales. Subject related to national minorities and their integration to social life have also been discussed. Turkmen leader highlighted that equal rights and prosperity of all citizens of the country are the guarantee of its achievements in social and economic development. Special role is given to the post of Ombudsman - the authorized representative on human rights, which was instituted based on the Constitution as well as on existing Law last year, in the context of implementation of the measures on expansion of the fundamentals of democracy and rights of the citizens in Turkmenistan. Situation in Central Asian region was separate subject of discussion. The OSCE High Commissioner of National Minorities said that his organization highly appreciate and comprehensively support creative foreign course of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which is an important factor of peace and stability in the region, and active position of our country in solution of important issues and problems of the present ay. In this context, Mr Zannier highlighted the relevance of international initiatives made by the President of Turkmenistan in last few years, which are aimed at the formation of modern model of international partnership and development of new approaches to the provision of global security structure. Turkmen leader and the OSCE High Commissioner exchanged the opinions on the perspectives of beneficial partnership in humanitarian sphere, especially in the development of science and education. The guest expressed the confidence in success of the cooperation in this direction. In particular, the sides shared the views on preparation of the projects for study of foreign languages in secondary schools of Turkmenistan. In the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the OSCE high Commissioner on National Minorities Lamberto Zannier expressed mutual willingness to constructive cooperation in all existing matters.
