By the order of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova received the copies of credentials of the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Turkmenistan Ihab Ahmet Talaat Nasr. On behalf of Turkmen leader, the Head of National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on the appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in the development of friendly relation and beneficial cooperation between two countries. Having expressed the gratitude for good wishes, in his turn, the Ambassador conveyed the congratulations and best wishes to Turkmen leader on occasion of the International Neutrality Day. The guest highlighted that this is great honour for his to represent Egypt in independent neutral Turkmenistan, the state that gained extensive international recognition with its peace-loving policy and peace-making initiatives. During the conversation, the Ambassador was informed about the main directions of home and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, which puts the development of beneficial cooperation with all interested countries and competent international organizations as the priority as well as about successful social and economic programmes aimed at the progress of the country and growth of the nation’s wellbeing. The importance of the dialog on Inter-parliamentary level has been noted during the introduction of structure and activity of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to the diplomat. Ihab Ahmed Talaat Nast highlighted high interest of his country in activation of bilateral relations including trade, business and cultural contacts as well as in cooperation in tourism sphere where both states have significant potential.
