President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Cordially greeting the colleague, the President of Turkmenistan congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the election as the President of Kazakhstan and wished him good health, prosperity and great success in his work at the highest political office. Thanking for the kind words and wishes, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underlined that the Republic of Kazakhstan committed to friendly relations with Turkmenistan that had reached qualitatively new content within the past years based on the principles of mutual respect, mutual understanding and trust. The leaders of the two states discussed the priority areas of the bilateral cooperation. In this regard, particular attention was paid to the versatile potential for the further development of the efficient partnership in the trade and economic sphere, transport and communications area, oil and gas industry, agriculture and other industries that opened up wide opportunities for implementation of new joint regional and international projects. It was also underlined the significance of strengthening fruitful humanitarian relations based on the common cultural and spiritual values of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the significant issues that are of particular interest for the two countries. It was emphasized the commitment of the two states to constructive cooperation in frames of authoritative international organizations, including UN, with the aim to ensure peace, security and sustainable development. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay the state visit to Turkmenistan. The invitation was accepted. The dates of the visit will be scheduled through diplomatic channels. The leaders of the two states expressed belief that the fruitful interstate cooperation would widen and addressed the best wishes to the people of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
