President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minsiter of Foreign Affairs of the republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov who arrived in our country on working visit. Having expressed the gratitude for the opportunity of personal meeting, the guest conveyed the greetings of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyiyev who addressed wishes of peace and prosperity to Turkmen leader and nation of the country. The Head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan highlighted that Turkmenistan invariably demonstrates responsible approach to international cooperation, which is indicated by successful First Caspian Economic Forum in Avaza National tourist zone on August 12. The outcomes of the Forum are to expand the format of economic cooperation both in regional and global scales. Abdulaziz Kamilov congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on this historical event, having made special mention of high level of organization of the Forum, personal input the Head of the State to the consolidation of the nations in the world as well as to the development of multilateral and bilateral contacts of the countries that participated in the forum. Participation of Caspian and other states in the CEF indicates high international authority of Turkmen leader and currency of the initiatives proposed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan highlighted. The Head of the State conveyed return best wishes to the Government and people of friendly country, with which Turkmenistan is connected by sincere goodwill relations. The President has also expressed the gratitude to Uzbekistan side for active participation in the events of the CEF, having expressed the confidence that meetings under the Forum would give new impulse to productive cooperation between two countries. Cooperation on the fields of Caspian Economic Forum was dictated by time and is current in the aspect of solution of important issues of regional and global scale, Turkmen leader said. During the conversation, the sides exchanged the views on priority subjects of interstate dialog. Head of Foreign department of Uzbekistan highlighted that constructive interstate dialog is based on trustful relations between the leader of two countries, who demonstrate political will in activation of multi-aspect cooperation. It has been mentioned that economic component has a priority in the development of bilateral relations. Cooperation in trade and economic sphere is successfully developed. Transport and communication sector is one of the main directions of interstate partnership. In this case, consolidation of efforts of the sides is an actual factor in formation of ramified transit and transport and logistic infrastructure. It was highlighted that both countries pays great attention to the strengthening of cooperation in solution of common problems of the region, one of which is saving of Aral Sea and rational water use. Fruitful character of cooperation in humanitarian sphere has also been noted. Having expressed satisfaction with steadfast dynamics of Turkmen – Uzbek cooperation including under big international organizations and regional structures, the Head of the State and his guest confirmed the interest in diversification of the partnership. In this context, positive feedback has been given to the activity of Inter-governmental Turkmen – Uzbek commission for trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation in the implementation of the agreements reached at different levels. In the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov expressed the confidence that bilateral relations would be successfully developed for the sake of the nations of two countries. Ambassador Extrordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov took part in the meeting.
