Video conference meeting with General Director of the UN Office at Geneva, General Secretary of the Disarmament Conference Mrs Tatiana Valovaya was held in the Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, the sides have highlighted high level of long cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations Organization in different directions. It was highlighted that our country works closely not only with the headquarter but also with regional offices of the UN. Efficient contacts with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR), the UN Children Fund (UNICEF) and other structures are continued. The sides have expressed interest in promotion of joint work for achievement of global security and stability, protection of human rights, ecological and energy security. Speaking of importance of cooperation in recovery after the coronavirus pandemic and its social and economic impacts, it was highlighted that President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stands for coordinated efforts of the world community in combating against COVID-19, in particular by close cooperation with the World Health Organization, which headquarter is also located in Geneva. In this context, it was noted that under the 75^th session of the UN General Assembly, Turkmenistan proposes to review the development and adoption of relative international mechanisms in healthcare sphere.
