The draft work plans for joint activities for 2021 of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Office in Turkmenistan and the ministries and departments of our country were discussed during an online meeting. From the Turkmen side, the meeting was attended by representatives of the national parliament, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, the Ombudsman's Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, as well as the State Committee on Statistics and the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography. The specific proposals for cooperation, which are planned to be included into the work plans for next year in accordance with the constructive policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who pays special attention to the development of partnerships with the United Nations and its specialized structures, in particular, with UNICEF, were considered during the meeting. The abovementioned work plans are aimed at strengthening relations in the sphere of children's health, their balanced nutrition, social protection, as well as improving public administration in this area. Highly evaluating the level of development of partnership between Turkmenistan and UNICEF, the participants of the online meeting expressed their willingness to continue joint work.
