Two-day high-level Conference on Afghanistan, which brought together high-ranking representatives from more than 100 countries of the world, including from Turkmenistan, and international organizations, was held in Geneva in online format. Head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays special attention to comprehensive development of Afghanistan and tries to support international efforts in strengthening of the statehood, economic integration and wealth of Afghan people. Turkmenistan undertakes specific measures in this direction, our country actively works on promotion of number of international infrastructural projects and cooperates with Afghanistan in humanitarian sphere. Great number of Afghan students study in universities of Turkmenistan and those, who have already received higher education, work in various government authorities of Afghanistan making their contribution to the development of the country. Turkmenistan also provides support by construction of number of social facilities under the Program of humanitarian aid to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2020 – 2022. In particular, Turkmen side has built school in Balkh Province, hospital in Faryab Province, maternity clinic in Herat Province. Opening of the mosque for 500 people, which was financed by Turkmenistan and located in Afghanistan, will take place soon. These facts presented at the Conference have been accepted by the participants as an urge to strengthen multidimensional cooperation in supporting Afghanistan in its desire for peace, stability and sustainable development.
