President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made a working trip to Balkan Region where took part in the opening ceremony of the main mosque of the region. Total area of the complex is more than 14 hectares. The central dome of the mosque is crowned by golden crescent. The architectural complex also includes four minarets decorated with original elements typical for Islamic culture. The height of each minaret is 63 meters while the height of the dome is 40 meters. Two-store building of the mosque has a praying hall for 3,000 people. Marble, granite, precious wood have been used in interior decoration of the mosque. The complex of the mosque has special building for food donation ceremonies for 1,500 seats, hotel of 50 guests and car parking. All facilities have been built by private companies, which are members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country, using advanced technologies and modern construction and decoration materials. The territory around the complex is developed. 3,000 coniferous and deciduous trees, 10,000 decorative shrubs have been planted around the mosque. It has a system of drip and rain irrigation. The place looks very beautiful at night owing to original lighting. Having blessed the opening of new mosque, the Head of Turkmen State entered the building where after the prayer, the President handed over memorable gifts from Mecca to new mosque. Further, the Mufti of the country and imam of new mosque have shown the mosque around, special architectural and decoration features to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as well as told about the meaning of inscription decorating the walls. Having handed over new vehicle as a present to new mosque, Turkmen leader went to the building designated for ritual meal. On occasion of remarkable event, the Head of the State has given traditional food donation ceremony at the account of royalties received from his books. In the end of the food donation ceremony, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has addressed the participants of the ceremony and all fellow countrymen with the wishes: - Let the Almighty accept this food donation and prayers! - Let peace and prosperity reign on Turkmen land! After, the Head of the State has said warm goodbye to the participants and left the place of event.
