President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan Yamamoto Hiroyuki who presented his credentials to the Head of the State. Having extended his sincere gratitude for spared time, the diplomat conveyed warm greetings of the Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister of Japan Suga Yoshihide who addressed their wishes of wealth and prosperity to all Turkmen people. At the same time the commitment of the friendly country to intensification of traditional Turkmen – Japanese relations, which have wide range of direction, was highlighted. Having expressed gratitude for good words and returned the greetings and best wishes to the Emperor and Prime Minister of Japan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that Turkmenistan also pays special attention to development of the cooperation with Japan, which is one of most reliable business partners. Having congratulated Yamamoto Hiroyuki on his appointment to the responsible diplomatic post, the Leader of the Nation wished him success in further strengthening of long bilateral cooperation, which has entered fundamentally new level at modern stage. Efficient work of the world famous Japanese companies and their participation in implementation of important infrastructural projects are visual indication of success of bilateral partnership, which is built on long-term basis. At present time, the construction of super modern gas turbine power station is carried out with participation of Japanese partners in Charjew district, Lebap Region. Together with trade and economic sphere, energy, petrochemical industry, transport, logistics and number of other spheres are among the current directions of Turkmen – Japanese cooperation. Humanitarian contacts are also integral parts of interstate dialog. Thus, opening of the Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University in Ashgabat in 2016 was an important step toward intensification of fruitful cooperation in scientific and educational sphere. Close contacts have been established between Japanese and Turkmen universities and Japanese language is studied not only in higher educational institutes but also in schools of our country. Having expressed gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his permanent attention to Turkmen – Japanese relations, Yamamoto Hiroyuki highlighted that it is a great honor for him to represent Japan in our country and assured that he would put all efforts for successful continuation of efficient bilateral cooperation. In the end of the meeting, the Leader of the Nation and Japanese diplomat have confirmed invariable commitment of Turkmenistan and Japan t constructive interstate dialog, which is built on the principles of equal rights, mutual respect and long-term strategic partnership.
