On December 9, a signing ceremony was held as part of the International Exhibition devoted to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, currently taking place in the capital. The signed documents are aimed at promoting the long-term cooperation between the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and our country’s national parliament and legal institutions. Signed today by the Mejlis and UNICEF, the 2021 Action Plan is designed to facilitate closer fruitful collaboration in the field of legislative recognition and children’s rights, including in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals. Action plans signed between UNICEF and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Adalat aim to enhance cooperation in the promotion and protection of children’s rights and legitimate interests. The signed documents were prepared in line with the UNICEF Country Program of Cooperation for Turkmenistan for 2021-2025 and the National Action Plan for Children’s Rights for 2018-2022.
