The videoconference consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Belgium were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country. Belgium delegation was headed by Director General in charge of Bilateral Affairs of the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs of Belgium at the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs of Belgium Anick Van Calster. The parties discussed the current state and priority areas of cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian fields. The meeting participants expressed mutual interest in expanding partnership in the energy sector, and, in general, in the trade and economic sector. The exchange of views on the possibilities of bringing cooperation to the qualitatively new level through regular consultations between the specialized structures of the two countries took place. The meeting participants also discussed the development of the legal framework of bilateral relations. The diplomats agreed to continue the active dialogue with the aim to develop friendly Turkmen-Belgian relations, which Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attaches particular importance to in the context of constructive interaction with the European Union.
