National observers, who will monitor the electoral campaign of members of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan in accordance with Article 6 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, were registered. Political parties, public associations, citizens and candidates have the right to appoint national observers belongs to. As of today, 436 observers have been registered from the Democratic Party, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Agrarian Party, public organizations, as well as groups of citizens, including 61 - in Ahal Velayat, 88 - in Balkan Velayat, 80 - in Dashoguz Velayat, 83 - in Lebap Velayat, 92 – in Mary Velayat and 32 - in Ashgabat. Training seminars to be organized for them will provide them with the opportunity to familiarize with the changes in the national electoral legislation, their official duties and the procedure for holding the upcoming elections. According to the Electoral Code, national observers have the right to observe elections starting from the day of their registration till the official publication of the election results. The participation of national observers ensures the transparency and openness of the electoral process. Observers will attend meetings of election commissions, meetings of the velayat, etrap, and city Halk Maslahaty, will observe the preparation and organization of elections, compliance with the electoral legislation of Turkmenistan, will get acquainted with the list of voting participants, will be present before the start of voting, when sealing ballot boxes, as well as when determining election results and summing up the overall results. In addition, they will assess the level of organization of the campaign and compliance with the legislation, will ensure democratic nature of electoral procedure. The election of members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh will be another significant step towards deepening democratic processes, serving as a reliable foundation for the successful implementation of progressive reforms carried out under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the epoch of might and happiness.
