Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa, Ms. Naledi Pandor.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the friendly nature of relations between the two countries and expressed mutual interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies paid special attention to the expansion of diplomatic contacts. In this regard, the parties agreed to organize political consultations with the participation of deputy foreign ministers in the near future, as well as to intensify contacts at the level of ambassadors and permanent representatives of the two states to the United Nations.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs invited each other to visit their states and agreed to pay mutual visits.
