IRA Embassy in Turkmenistan holds online briefing

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan organized an online briefing "The peaceful process of Afghanistan: current state, problems and solutions".

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev, head of the Afghanistan government delegation to the reconciliation talks Mohammad Masoom Stanekzai, IRA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ashgabat Khan Wali Khan Basharmal, as well as other representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Meeting participants exchanged view on the prospects for the development of peaceful process in Afghanistan, the role of the international community and the countries of the region in consolidating efforts and reaching agreement on the key issues on the agenda of peaceful talks.

The briefing participants underlined the constructive role of Turkmenistan in creating favorable conditions for establishing peaceful process in Afghanistan using the peacekeeping potential of the country as a neutral state.
