The capital song and music centre Ashgabat hosted final round of «Ýaňlan, Diýarym!» TV young singer contests.

Regular issue of quarterly scientific and popular Miras Magazine, which is published by Magtumguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, has been released. Addressed to wide reading audience, the issue continues series of articles about discoveries and results of study of spiritual heritage of the nation.

A festive concert dedicated to the birthday of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held in the Turkmen capital, at the square in front of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

The capital’s Mizan Center has hosted a grand ceremony to honor creative professionals awarded the honorary titles of Turkmenistan and to present the winners of the Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry Competition (open to literary and cultural figures, art workers, young performers, and gifted children) with the President’s Prize.

The administrative centre of Dashoguz Region hosted big celebration concert, which has become the final event of the Week of Culture and dedicated to the Day of Cultural and Art Personnel and the Day of Magtumguly Fragi Poetry, which are widely observed in our country.

The premiere of the opera “Nedjep Oglan”, based on “Nedjep Oglan” destan, telling about the Turkmen school of folk music and Bagshi narrators took place on the stage of Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater .

Dashoguz Regional Historical Museum hasted session of personnel of museums and state historical and cultural reserves of the country.

The next day of the Week of Culture in the Dashoguz Velayat was devoted to the Turkmen people’s musical traditions. A methodical conference was held in the Centre of Culture in the “Altynýol” Geneslik, S. A. Niyazov Etrap. The conference focused on the study of national dance and folk arts, as well as improvement of work of rural centres of culture.

Among the main events of the third day of the Week of Culture held in the Dashoguz Velayat were opening of the exhibition of printed materials, a thematic scientific conference, a play of Nurmuhammed Andalib Musical and Drama Theater and a concert.

In line with the programme of the Week of Culture, the participants of the cultural event had an opportunity to visit the unique archaeological sites located in the Dashoguz Velayat, some of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
