Last week, the capital’s expo-center «Sergiköşgi» hosted the building materials industry exhibition of the Republic of Turkey, which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in association with the Turkish Company “Meridyen”.

The Turkmenistan Carpet holiday was marked widely and solemnly in Turkmenistan. On the occasion of the significant date, in all cities and etraps were organized meetings, fine art exhibitions, contests, concerts and theatrical shows. The ceremonies of awarding and honoring the best masters of carpet-making and distinguished carpet makers were held in the enterprises of artistic carpet-weaving industry, at the factories and separate production shops of the State Corporation “Turkmenkhaly”, in social organizations of the country.

Last week, the Kyrgyz Republic hosted Turkmenistan’s Days of Culture. The Culture Days’ intensive program included numerous business and creative meetings, concerts, exhibitions, film shows, get-acquainted tours and, certainly, face-to-face communication which contributes to the direct perception of history, culture, art of the two neighboring peoples of the region.

Last week, the capital’s Expo Center “Sergi Kosgi” hoste XIV International universal exhibition “White City – Ashgabat”. Already traditional, the forum is assigned to demonstrate the achievements and developmental prospects of the Turkmen capital in the sphere of town building and to determine the key trends of cooperation in the sector.

On May 18, festive events were held countrywide to mark a remarkable date of the national calendar – Constitution and Magtymguly’s Poetry Day. It is no mere chance that these two holidays merged together, symbolizing the indissolubility of our nation’s state and spiritual development in the modern epoch, when the Turkmen people’s centuries-old dream of a sovereign state, glorified in the immortal works by the great Turkmen poet and humanist – Magtymguly Fragi, came true.

On the threshold of Day of Turkmenistan’s Constitution and Magtymguly Fragi’s Poetry, a representative delegation of our country’s artistic intelligentsia went on a pilgrimage to Golestan Province, the Islamic Republic of Iran to visit graves of the prominent sons of the Turkmen people – Magtymguly and Dovletmammed Azadi.
