President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Summit "Central Asia — Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf", proposed to intensify contacts in the field of medicine and sports.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Summit "Central Asia — Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf", noted the huge role of the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

The Summit «Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf» began in Jeddah, in which President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov takes part.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Jeddah Summit, emphasized the need to expand trade ties and consistently increase the volume of mutual trade turnover between the Central Asian and Gulf states.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the Summit "Central Asia — Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf", called for increasing cooperation in transport and energy sectors.

At the Summit in Jeddah, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed the establishment of a meeting of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a working visit to participate in the Summit of heads of member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) and the countries of Central Asia.

With a view to ensure a wide participation of representatives of society in solution of important issues of state and public life, based on centuries-old experience of noble ancestors in management of the government and following their wise precepts, strengthening of unity and cohesion of society, creative perfection of achievements in development of national democracy as well as well-organised conduction of the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan - the higher representative body of interests of people of Turkmenistan, the Presidium of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan decides:

Invariable adherence to wise admonishments inherited from ancestors - a sacred principle of Turkmen people. Honouring elders, augmentation of their authority are one of noble traditions, left by ancestors. 

Today, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to sum up the results of work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in the first half of this year.
