Today in Turkmenistan, elections of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the velayat, etrap and city halk maslahaty, as well as Gengeshes are being held on a broad alternative basis.

Today at 7 o'clock in the morning voting on the elections of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the halk maslahaty and Gengeshes began throughout the country and will end at 19 o'clock in the evening.

Today President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Sergei Lebedev, who heads the Mission of Observers from the CIS for the upcoming elections to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

On March 26, all polling stations of the country will open their doors for the people of Turkmenistan, who, using their constitutional right, will fulfill their civic duty and elect the most worthy representatives to the Mejlis, to the representative bodies of local executive power and local self-government.
