On awarding the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 yyllygyna» to the General–Secretary of the United Nations António Guterres

On July 6, 2024, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations for Europe, Central Asia, North and South America Miroslav Jenca, who arrived in our country as part of a delegation led by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

In order to further develop cooperation between Turkmenistan and international organizations and create favourable conditions for their activities on the territory of our country, the President of Turkmenistan signed an Order according to which the «Mirap» hotel with its adjacent territory, which is on the balance sheet of the Production Hotel Complex under the Ashgabat City Administration, was transferred to the Permanent Mission of the United Nations in Turkmenistan.

Today, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, who arrived in our country on a visit previous evening, participated in the opening ceremony of a new building for the UN Office in Turkmenistan.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, following talks with United Nations General-Secretary Antonio Guterres, awarded the distinguished guest with the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan «On the 300th Anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi».
