The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State Committee for Water Resources, organized a videoconference meeting "Multilateral Dialogue on Development of Cooperation in the Aral Sea Region". The meeting took place on the International Mother Earth Day.
Master of Sports, Coach of sport school of Gurbansoltan-eje district, Dashoguz Region Gulnabat Kadyrova has brought three medals to collection of Turkmenistan’s team.
Two silver medals, in clean and jerk and in total, were won by Turkmen weightlifter Maksat Meredov at Asian Championship in Tashkent. 21-year old student of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, foster of the school of the highest sport skill had this success in the weight category up to 73 kg with personal record of 336 kg (snatch – 147, clean and jerk – 189).
The opening ceremony of the Center of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» has been held in the capital. On the same day, regular session of International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» timed to Turkmen Shepherd Dog Holiday, which according to relative Order of the head of the state would be annually observed on the same day with National Turkmen Horse Holiday on the last Sunday of April, has taken place.

On April 18, in the holy month of Ramadan, at the age of 89, the father of the President of Turkmenistan, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, passed away. The Turkmen people received this bitter news with deep sorrow.
